What We Do
Accredited Schools Online produces content focused on school accreditation. Accreditation is meant to assure prospective students that a school meets certain education quality standards. Accredited schools are recognized by employers, other schools, and the federal government. Accreditation can impact credit transfers, degree acceptance, and employability.
Our Mission
Since 2013, our mission has been to create accurate, trustworthy, and expert-driven content that provides prospective students with information about available accredited colleges. Every student has different educational needs, but our goal is to make it easy for them to find the degree, program, and school that will help students meet their potential.
We will never include non-accredited colleges in our school rankings, and our resources will always be free.
What We Provide
Our team of education experts are passionate about supporting prospective students with quality search tools, school rankings, in-depth guides, financial aid resources, and expert advice.
Since launching Accredited Schools Online, we have helped countless students find the accredited program or school that meets their educational and career goals, and over 1,000 colleges, universities, and government entities have shared our resources and content.
Our Team
Our team is made up of current and former teachers, data analysts, financial aid experts, educational administrators and journalists. We are passionate about data -- especially higher education data. Our team is committed to helping students make informed decisions on their pathway to college.
Media Inquiries
Is your school listed on our "Best List" or are you a member of the press? Find our latest press releases, college rankings badges, and promotional materials on our media page.
Advertising Policy
On our websites, we feature client schools—or “Sponsored Schools”—from whom we may receive payment for our services. Sponsored schools will be labeled as such on our web pages, including with tags such as, "sponsored" or, "featured."
Any information on sponsored schools exhibited on our site is most often either contributed or verified by the institution itself. We take this information at face value, and these details are not independently authenticated by our company. It is the Sponsored School's responsibility to ensure the information they are providing—whether in regard to programs offered, financial aid availability, tuition cost, or any other school policies—is accurate as of the most recent academic school year.
Editorial Policy
At Accredited Schools Online, we are committed to providing accurate, trustworthy resources for students, parents, teachers, and administrators. We rely on primary sources, current data, and experts in the field of education when creating our content. We strive to create useful and current school rankings. Schools cannot pay to be included in our rankings, and our method for creating rankings is clearly listed on each rankings page. If you have questions or concerns about any of our content, please contact us below.
Our Content Production Process
The Accredited Schools Online editorial team strives to produce high-quality, accurate content. To that end, we thoroughly research every article, using trusted sources like the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Outlook Handbook and Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics, Projections Central, and the National Center for Education Statistics. We also reference primary research, including studies, scientific resources, and statistics, wherever possible. Find our sources linked within each article and/or in our source list at the bottom of our articles.
